"Subject: A student of yours… "

Dear Barbara,

I am very much hoping you remember me from Eastern Music Festival in 1993, where I was one of your flute students. You were so inspirational to me and encouraged me to get a "serious" teacher after the festival concluded. You even helped my parents contact Christina Smith in the Atlanta Symphony to take me on as a student.

Fast forward to now and I am the new flute professor at Penn State University.

I am writing to thank you again for your wonderful teaching which I believe started me on my path towards a career in flute. I was also hoping we could reconnect now that we are both in PA and perhaps you may be interested in coming to Penn State to give a master class/recital?

Most Sincerely,

Naomi xxxxxxxxx
